Your First Visit to Kingwood Perfect Smiles
During your first appointment at Kingwood Perfect Smiles, we will discuss your previous dental history and examine any of your dental records to establish your complete oral history. You can also expect:
Dental Examination – Your teeth, gums, tongue, lips, and jaw will all be examined for any signs of complications such as decay, infection or disease. We will also check for any risk signs of oral cancers.
Dental Imaging (depending upon age/condition) – Properly diagnosing certain dental conditions sometimes requires digital x-rays; depending upon the age of the patient and their preference, we may perform digital imaging to get a better understanding of your oral health.
Dental Cleaning – Using specialized dental tools, we will thoroughly (and gently) remove any plaque or tartar build up you might have missed on your teeth.
Teeth Polishing – Once your teeth are completely cleaned, they will also be polished to look extra bright!
Once your dental examination and teeth cleaning has been completed, we will discuss our findings and any dental conditions we are concerned about. If any treatments are recommended, we will thoroughly explain each option and answer any questions you may have. We like for our patients to be informed when making dental care decisions.
